Privacy Policy

This is the personal website of Garrison Grant (“I”, “me”). I collect as little information as possible. This policy explains what I collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email me at garrisongrant1@gmail.com.

What I collect

  • Messages you send me. If you use the contact form, I receive your name, email address, and message. The form is delivered to my email inbox by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service.
  • Analytics, only if you allow it. If you click “Accept analytics,” Google Analytics 4 records which pages you visit, how you arrived (for example, a search or a link), your device and browser type, and an approximate location (country or city). Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. I have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, and I do not use this data for advertising. If you decline, Google Analytics does not load.
  • Anonymous visit counts. I use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies or identify you: it records the page, the referring site, your country, and your device and browser type, and recognizes repeat visits within a single day using a temporary, anonymized identifier that is discarded after 24 hours.
  • Basic server data. Like every website, this site’s host, Vercel, processes technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

There are no accounts, logins, or payments on this site, and I do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.

Please don’t send health information

Please don’t include health or medical details in messages. This site and its contact form aren’t designed to store sensitive health information, and the form isn’t monitored for emergencies. If you are in crisis in the U.S., call or text 988, or call 911.

How I use it

  • To read and reply to your message.
  • To understand which content is useful so I can improve the site (anonymous counts for everyone; Google Analytics only with your consent).
  • To keep the site secure and working.

I keep messages only as long as needed for our conversation, and you can ask me to delete them at any time. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics (at most 14 months).

Links to other websites

This site links to other websites, such as YouTube, Instagram, Spotify, MH², event pages, and book pages. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them. Some links are affiliate links (they’re labeled), which lets the other site know you arrived from my link.

Your choices and rights

  • You can accept or decline analytics, and change your choice any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
  • You can ask me to tell you what information I hold about you, or to correct or delete it, by emailing garrisongrant1@gmail.com. I’ll respond within 30 days.
  • If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, I rely on your consent for analytics and on my legitimate interest in replying to messages you send me. You may withdraw consent, object to processing, request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data, and complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I will delete it.

Security and storage

I use reputable service providers and take reasonable steps to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Information may be processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I’ll update the date at the top of this page.
